Last week, the world was put on notice, a potentially faster-transmitting variant of COVID-19 (#Omicron). Since then, the UK and other countries have reportedly seen an exponential increase in the numbers infected with this new variant. As a further precaution and attempt to curb the variant from spreading, the Government has announced a resumption of pre-arrival COVID testing for all travellers coming to England irrespective of their #vaccination status. The Department of Transport has recently eased travel restrictions for Britons who have been double-vaccinated under the NHS / UK #vaccination programme. Those who are fully vaccinated (or under 18 years of age) will not need to quarantine or take a day 8 #COVID test after returning from a country on the amber list. For those that travelled from (or to) France in the ten days before entering England (or any country deemed an Amber+ country), the current amber rules apply. All
